All Hands In

Community. Culture. Power.

We invest in communities. We develop cities.

IncludUs is a national nonprofit that integrates city resources and builds community infrastructure — partnering with local governments to develop cities where every resident has economic power, civic voice, and the ability to thrive.

Our mission is to develop cities where every resident has economic power, civic voice, and the ability to thrive — partnering with local governments and community organizations to build the infrastructure that makes it possible.

Our method is Community Engineering™ — the principle that the people closest to a problem are best positioned to design the solution. When cities align government partnership, community trust, and the right infrastructure, inclusion stops being an aspiration and becomes a structural reality.

40 Cities. 10 years.

We are building toward 40 city developments in 10 years — starting where we work now.

IncludUs plays two roles that cities cannot fill themselves — and that most nonprofits cannot play together:

We integrate the funding, departments, nonprofits, and community groups that exist in every city but rarely work in coordination. And we build the program frameworks, engagement infrastructure, and cultural platforms that cities implement and sustain — leaving behind systems, not reports.

We work through a three-part ecosystem — each with a distinct role, all connected by one method.

The program and fiscal infrastructure arm. We operate community-led initiatives, manage grants and compliance, and provide fiscal sponsorship — so bold ideas can scale with institutional backing.

INCLUDUS LABS

The technical assistance arm. We partner with local governments and institutions to deploy Community Engineering™ — diagnosing civic systems, conducting research, designing solutions, and building infrastructure from the inside out.

The training arm. We develop the next generation of community engineers — training volunteers, organizers, and civic staff in the frameworks and skills to design and sustain inclusive systems.

What We Build — And Where

IncludUs works across four pillars — with economic and civic power as the foundation, and wellbeing and climate resilience as what flourishes when communities hold power.

Civic Infrastructure

Voter activation, civic participation infrastructure, and governance systems that give every resident a real seat at the table.

Economic Power

Community-owned enterprises, financial tools, and economic mobility systems designed by and for the communities they serve.

Community Wellbeing

Health access, safety, and quality of life investments — because wellbeing flourishes when communities hold power.

Climate Resilience

Clean energy access and environmental resilience built alongside frontline communities — not imposed on them.

Where We Are Building Now

Community Engineering™ is deployed through deep, long-term partnerships with local governments and community organizations. These are not programs — they are place-based investments in lasting civic infrastructure.

Tulare, California — our organizational home at the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, one of the most philanthropically underinvested regions in America. Our first full place-based initiative, in partnership with local government and community organizations. We are developing civic, economic, wellbeing, and climate infrastructure from within.

DC Metro Area — Climate and wellbeing activation integrating clean energy education and adoption pathways.

National Civic Network — Multi-state civic infrastructure strengthening Latino engagement with a focus on Arizona, California, Nevada, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Our Work in Action

These are the community-led initiatives IncludUs Fund operates and fiscally sponsors — each applying Community Engineering™ to build infrastructure that communities design and own.

Why Cities and Funders Partner With Us

1

Proven Impact

52,000 voters activated. 19 million people reached across 40 states, 45+ community partners. The model works — and we document everything.

2

Community Trust

We work alongside local government as the institutional anchor and trusted community organizations as the delivery layer — the two things most initiatives get only one of.

3

Scalable Infrastructure

Community Engineering™ is a structured, documented method — not a one-off program. Every city deployment builds the playbook for the next. That's how we get to 40 cities in 10 years.

IncludUs plays two roles that city governments cannot fill themselves:

  • Integrator — We align the funding, departments, nonprofits, and community groups that exist in every city but rarely work together. We turn fragmented resources into a coordinated system.

  •

  • Builder — We don't just advise. We create the program frameworks, engagement infrastructure, and cultural platforms that cities implement and sustain. We leave behind systems, not reports.
