Over 70 local vendors and community partners celebrate the start of a new weekly cultural and economic tradition in the heart of Tulare.

TULARE, CA — Aug 11, 2026 — IncludUs Fund is proud to announce the successful Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Tulare Marketplace, which took place on Thursday, August 6, at Zumwalt Park. The inaugural event drew thousands of residents together to celebrate a new chapter of community investment and local commerce, featuring a vibrant marketplace of more than 70 local vendors, street food, and artisan goods.
The evening was marked by festive live music performances, headlined by the renowned Los Morros del Norte, whose music energized the Adventist Health Amphitheater as families enjoyed the night’s cultural celebrations. Beyond entertainment, the launch served as a critical resource hub, with various agencies providing essential services. Highlights included on-site consultations and referrals by the UFW Foundation and a back-to-school giveaway that distributed 300 backpacks to local students.
A Catalyst for Local Economic Growth
The Tulare Marketplace is far more than a one-time celebration; it is a strategic initiative designed to drive long-term local economic growth. Now established as a weekly community event, the marketplace will be held every Thursday evening from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Zumwalt Park, running through the end of October.
"The Tulare Marketplace is a vibrant ecosystem where small business growth and cultural celebration intersect to strengthen our local families," said Bacilia Angel, President & CEO of IncludUs Fund. "By providing a dedicated space for our entrepreneurs to thrive, we are ensuring that economic opportunity is accessible to everyone in our community".
Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
A core objective of the Tulare Marketplace is to lower the barriers to entry for working-class and Latino entrepreneurs. Every participating vendor was provided with direct assistance in navigating and obtaining the necessary business licenses and permits required to operate legally and successfully.
To further ensure the sustainability of these neighborhood businesses, vendors will soon begin advanced training through the Tulare Avanza program. This curriculum will provide expert guidance on:
Accessing Capital: Navigating micro-grants and micro-loans through the Tulare Community Fund.
Social Media Management: Building a digital presence to reach new customers.
Marketing Strategies: Professional branding and promotional techniques to scale their business operations.
Event Logistics & Schedule
The community is encouraged to join the Tulare Marketplace each week for shopping, dining, and live entertainment.
